It's always a thrill to take a client on a new adventure. With our recent project for Cloud-Townsend Resources, we took a journey that we knew needed a strategy right from the start in order to continue on their legacy of providing best-selling resources to help people discover solutions to life’s most difficult personal and relational challenges. Yet, this particular job wasn't for a new high definition, promotional video or green screen production shoot in our video studio. We were tasked to launch a new website platform and online, e-commerce store for an already top notch company.

Bringing Still Images to Life

By |2019-01-27T16:29:35-08:00January 11th, 2012|Creative, Latest Articles, Latest News|

It's always fun when a client brings us a challenge: "We have 50 product images, 2 logos, 3 taglines and we need to sell our new product we are launching. Can you make us a video?" Of course we can! We love these kind of projects, and our latest one for the Jorg Gray Watch Collection is going to be a blast. Bring in some great stock music, load all the images up into our video editing system, and let the magic happen. So how do you communicate a product that is worn by President Obama, available in nearly 15 countries, and has the branding of being one of the best crafted watches in the world? For our job, it's always about telling a story. Show don't tell, is what we always remind ourselves. Whether it be a 30 second commercial for a local business, or a high definition production in our green screen studio in Orange County - we are always helping our clients tell a story.

Remember when there was no reality TV? Remember when television consisted of timeless stand up and sketches? Sid Caesar was a genius who took television to the next level in the late 1960's with his show "Caesar's Hour". Well, over 50 years later, Sid is now splashed on AVANT's monitors as we help prepare the PBS show that reunited the Caesar writing team to soon be released on DVD. Caesar's Hour was a live, hour-long American sketch comedy television program that aired on NBC from 1954 until 1957. The program starred, among others, Sid Caesar, Nanette Fabray, Carl Reiner, Howard Morris, Janet Blair and Milt Kamen. PBS brought this incredible team back together in 1996 for a special event at the Writers Guild Theater in Los Angeles, CA. The evening's events eventually broadcasted on PBS under the title "Caesar's Writers". Now, AVANT has the opportunity to be a part of the team to bring this historic production back to life by creating the DVD to master for duplication and worldwide sales. WOW!

From Green Screen to Video Editing

By |2019-01-27T16:29:37-08:00June 13th, 2011|Creative, Latest Articles, Latest News, Projects|

Every week it seems like a new production is coming to our Orange County video production facilities to utilize the green screen studio. From indie bands, to non-profits, to babies....yes, you read that right, babies! This last week, we got to have the young cast of a new DVD series to help babies learn how to read. So, with about ten kids under the ages of two scattered throughout our offices we had our hands full. Place on the green screen floor, shoot with our high-definition camera, then transfer the footage to our Final Cut Pro system and immediately start piecing the scenes together. Video editing is one thing, video editing with green screen footage is another.
